Ask Mr X: “Why is it that guys that make you think they like you, completely ghost you after a while?”

Ever wanted advice on your relationship from that cool guy friend who has all the answers? Well, Mr. X is that friend for you. Every other week, he’s going to answer the questions you send him and if there’s one thing you can count on him for, it’s being honest. So go ahead, ask Mr. X

There can be many reasons why someone completely ghosts another. I don’t have a crystal ball, but most probably it’s cause they thought they might like you and then realised later on that perhaps you guys aren’t good for each other and then instead of having a conversation about it, choose to ghost cause it’s easier.

If you want to text the guy(s) again, you obviously can but you should choose wisely who you want to try continuing things with. If you had been speaking to someone and things felt like they were going well for the both of you, and then the guy ghosts you then yes, for sure message him and see what’s up – what do you have to lose?

Overall, a reminder that this is the process and sometimes the process sucks. Guys come and go, but eventually you’ll find someone who you’ll get along with super well and he won’t ghost you. Keep at it and don’t let your head down – I know it can get very disappointing at times, but your Mr.X could be just around the corner.

Also a piece of advice, text once or twice max to someone who’s ghosted you. Yes, you wanna know why he’s ghosting you, but you also want to keep your self-respect intact. If you’ve tried texting him and he still doesn’t respond, then his loss. You’ve done what you could. Time to move on.
